About Alnwick Stage Musical Society

Alnwick Stage Musical Society, formed in October 1986, it "was the brainchild of local Solicitor Norman Luke and Civil Servant Paul Toward" who also produced and musically directed the Society's first production, "The Sound of Music" in March 1987.

Since then the company has gone from strength to strength and performed many musicals including, "Oklahoma!", "Me & My Girl", "The Pirates of Penzance (Broadway version)", "Kiss Me Kate", "HMS Pinafore", "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Annie Get Your Gun". As well as our main show in March at Alnwick Playhouse, we often put on a Summer Show in July which could be a concert-style performance of a variety of songs or a mini-musical like Nunsense which was performed in July 1999 and also, by popular demand, in 2000!
